Following are the best placement of 7th house lord irrespective of the Ascendant Sign:

7^th House indicates the Partnership for Love (or) Life (or) even Partnership created on sexual relationships. The Partnership could be permanent (or) temporary in nature; and includes the same sex partnership too. Your Horoscope (D-1 Chart) would be the indicate the nature of life/relationship with your Partner, which is applicable to your entire life. The Presence of 7^th House Lord in various houses is a broad indicator of “the nature of relationship” with everyone’s Spouse.
1, 1st House (Lagna/Ascendant)
2. 4th House
3, 5th House
4. 2nd House (considered as malefic to Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn Ascendants; but neutral to other Ascendants)

Results: The Placement of 7th house lord in Lagna, 4th house, 5th house and 10th house is considered as comfortable; but the placement in 2nd, 7th house, 9th house and 11th house would either remain as benefice/neutral nor malefic depending upon the Ascendants.

Following are the worst placement of 7th house lord irrespective of the Ascendant Sign:

1. 3rd house
2. 6th house
3. 8th house (especially highly malefic for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius Ascendants).
4. 12th house
Results: The Placement of 7th house lord in 6th & 8th house would be considered as “Kalathira Dosha” (meaning troubled marital life); and considered to be highly malefic for all the Ascendants.

3. The presence of 7^th house lord in the 11^th house will create both the gain and the difficulties for Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pisces Ascendants.
4. The presence of 7^th house lord in the 9^th house is considered good for Aries, Gemini, Cancer, Virgo, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn and Pisces Ascendants.
5. The presence of 7^th house lord in the 9^th house creates mixed results for Taurus, Leo, Scorpio and Aquarius Ascendants.
6. The presence of 7^th house lord in the 3^rd, 6^th, 8^th and 12^th house would always create marital difficulties for all Ascendants.
The above placements would only indicate the nature of relationships; but it is not always a guarantee successful (or) happy married life. A native may face serious problems in their marriage life, if the following parameters are found in their natal chart, despite having the 7^th house lord in the benefice position.

The results are likely to change, if any of the following astrological parameters are found in the natal horoscope.

1. If any malefic house lords are placed in the 7^th house.
2. If any malefic house lord aspects the 7^th house (or) 7^th house lord.
3. If any malefic house lord is placed in conjunction with the 7^th house lord.
4. If the 7^th house lord is combusted by the Sun.
5. If the 7^th house lord is in conjunction (or) under aspection by Rahu (or) Ketu
6. If the 7^th house (or) 7^th house lord gets weaker strength in the Ashtakavargha.
7. If the 7^th house lord from Moon Sign (or) Sun Sign (or) both are weak in the natal horoscope.
8. If the 7^th house lord traverse in the 22^nd Nakshatra (or) 88^th Star Path from the Moon Sign.
9. If the Star Lord of the 7^th house lord is placed in malefic houses.
10. If the 7^th house lord attains “Thithi Sunya” (Emptiness of Thithi).

Important:

1. The Mahadasa and Antardasa results on marital relationships are also important. For Example: Even if a native has problematic placement of 7^th house lord in the malefic house would be able to maintain good marital relationships with his/her partner, if the Mahadasa and the Antardasa results are favourable.
2. The Marriage would also survive, even if his/her Partner has better placement of their partner’s 7^th house lord in the partner’s natal horoscope, despite the presence of 7^th house lord in the malefic house in the native’s horoscope.
