Nadi Porutham for Marriage

The Word "Nadi" means pulse beat or heart beat. The Hindu Vedic Astrology defines 3 types of pulse beat among the peoples. These three types of Nadi or pulse beat is calculated on the basis of 27 Nakshatras. They are called " Bhargava Nadi", "Mathiya Nadi" and "Samana Nadi". Each Nadi is allocated 9 nakshatras.

The "Nadi Porutham" requires both the husband and wife should not come under the same type of Nadi. If both the husband and wife has their Nakshatras under the same Bharagava Nadi, then it is assumed that the Couples has a clear mis-match on "Nadi Porutham". First let us see the, the three types of Nadi and Nakshatras associated with it.

Effects of mismatch on "Nadi Porutham".

1. Either one of the Couples or sometimes both may be affected by permanent illness. That is, the affected person may take medical treatment throughout their lifetime. For example: The illness like Ashtama, Diabetics, headache, bone related pains and so on.
2. The illness will not be life threatening. But it creates some obstacles in the smooth functioning of the married life.
